Company: Watershed 144 Ltd. Business information: As we are the only business in the area we have grown to a full service stop. We offer everything from fuel, convenience store, LCBO, gift shop, restaurant, grab and go food, bait and tackle, fully licensed garage, room and board lodging, heavy equipment, road maintenance amongst other things. Business Address: Hwy 144 & Hwr 560, Gogama, ON, P0M 1W0 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required. Empty trash cans and other waste containers Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment Perform minor repairs on appliances Perform safety and security checks Supervise other workers Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies Work with minimal supervision Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas Job Description Requirements: Education: Completion of secondary education is required. Experience: A minimum of 7 months of maintenance experience is required. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organized, reliability. Language: English is required Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Work site environment: All weather conditions, Noisy, Odours, Dusty, Hot, Wet/damp, Heights Work setting: Remote location, rural area Salary: $26.00 per hour, 40 hours per week.
