Job Summary The School of Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for the position of Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences, starting January 2024. The initial appointment of this job offer will be for three years, and is renewable contingent upon satisfactory performance, enrollment, and funding. Potential candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. (or foreign degree equivalent) in science or engineering including research practice in the life sciences. The prosperous candidate must have strong teaching, advising, and mentoring skills. The initial teaching responsibility is Introduction to Biology (lecture and lab) with the potential to teach other courses in the Biological Sciences curriculum located on the candidate's skills and interest. The tasks connected with this job offer include organizational responsibilities for courses, grading, and student advising as appropriate. Starting income/Rate Expected hiring range: $67,000 - $75,000 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials.
