Job Summary
The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for superviseing the maintenance, operation, and upgrade of Fashion Innovation Center (FIC) research laboratories, software, and equipment. The manager will provide technical support and assistance to the FIC's research teams and external users of Center laboratories, both generally and on specific projects; and will provide technical advice on research proposals.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering-related field
• Mechanical equipment and related electronics use and engineering expertise.

• capability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other employees, faculty, and students in the campus community, and with visiting users including from companies.
• capability to work effectively under pressure to meet goals and objectives.
• capability to communicate and document clearly.
• capability to maintain accurate and detailed records.

Shift
Business Hours: Monday - Friday

TravelLocal travel between campus locations only

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
