Job Summary The Administrative Specialist is the initial point of contact for the department office. The Specialist works with the faculty graduate coordinator to maintain all graduate student records, coordinates Undergraduate Research Project (URP) program logistics, provides support to building coordinator, and lends administrative support to assigned faculty. Minimum Qualifications » High school diploma or equivalent » Three (3) or more years related administrative practice significant combination of education, training and practice Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities » Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office » capability to compose routine correspondence and report » Requires good problem-solving expertise involving multiple variables in standard situations » Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational expertise » capability to work with sensitive information in a confidential and diplomatic manner » Excellent planning, organizing and effective time management expertise » capability to work independently without constant supervision » capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives » capability to anticipate and solve problems » capability to work with a wide variety of diverse internal and external constituencies Shift Business Hours, Monday - Friday Starting income/Rate Expected hiring range: $19.00- $21.50 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials.
