Job Summary
The adjunct Vice President (AVP) serves as the Institute Advancement (IA)leader in prospect development, research, data governance, donor relations, business intelligence, and analytics. The AVP drives the strategic evaluation of constituent and prospect programs, analyzes data and information, and provides solutions for the advancement of division and institutional goals. The AVP working in tandem with the Associate Vice President, Employee Engagement and Advancement Operations, leads, advises, and collaborates with IA colleagues to optimize resources and grow a culture of increased and sustainable philanthropy and volunteer leadership abilities.

The AVP, working closely with the IA Sr. leadership abilities Team, will create an industry-leading advancement operation and research model connecting research, data, and technology to maximize engagement, fundraising and organizational efficiency. The AVP will supervise the creation of systems, standards, tools, resources, and protocols supporting RPI's constituent relationship management and fundraising strategies. In addition, s/he supervises all activities in the functional areas of advancement services, prospect research, prospect management, analytics, and business intelligence. S/he also serves as a senior leader in the administration and application development of the Institute's constituent database of record.

Minimum Qualifications
   » Bachelor's degree required
   » Eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional fundraising, business intelligence, and management practice preferably in a college, university or academic medical setting with increasing levels of responsibility in advancement and/or alumni engagement; multiple functions and perspectives desirable
   » Demonstrated history of superior team leadership abilities including practice building strong, autonomous, and collaborative teams.
   » broad practice prosperously managing and leading technology, finance, strategic talent management, prospect development and/or gift administration in a higher education setting.
   » practice in the implementation and integration of information systems
   » practice working in fast-paced, team-oriented environment with quickly shifting priorities
   » practice working on complex projects and assignments, which require this individual to work across the university to align priorities, expertise, resources, etc. to achieve positive and productive results that benefit the university and key audiences
   » Direct practice and demonstrated leadership abilities in one or more professional advancement networks (e.g. CASE, CAAE, etc.)
