We are pursuing a dedicated  Behavior Analyst Specialist  to join our team in Kingston. In this function, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve their fullest potential through effective behavioral strategies.

Behavior Analyst Specialist   Responsibilities:
   » Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes of challenging behaviors.
   » Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized behavior support plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
   » Provide training and supervision to staff in the effective application of behavior support plans, ensuring consistency in implementation.
   » Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, healthcare professionals, and family members, to support individuals holistically.
   » Maintain thorough documentation and reports in compliance with OPWDD standards.
   » Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary, utilizing SCIP-R techniques.
Behavior Analyst Specialist   Qualifications required
   » National Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) and a Master's degree in behavior analysis, clinical psychology, or a related field approved by OPWDD.
   » OPWDD-approved training or practice in functional assessment techniques and behavior support plan development.
   » 3-5 years of practice supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including creating, implementing, and evaluating behavior support plans.
   » practice working with individuals who have dual diagnoses (developmental disabilities and mental health challenges) preferred.
   » Certification (or capability to obtain and maintain) in SCIP-R and CPR.
   » Valid New York State driver’s license.
