Job Summary
The adjunct Strength & Conditioning Coach will assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in designing and implementing programs for all varsity athletic programs; specifically responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of safe and effective strength and conditioning programs to improve performance of the Men's & Women's varsity teams. The adjunct Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for oversight of East Campus Strength and Conditioning Center during assigned shift and during absence of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution.
- One (1) year practice working as a coach, adjunct coach, or intern in the field of strength and conditioning.
- NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification, NSCA Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach certification or CSCCa Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified certification.

Preferred Qualifications

   » expertise of strength training, speed, agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular conditioning
   » expertise of NCAA regulations and guidelines
   » Demonstrated capability to motivate a variety of student-athletes
   » capability to initiate, develop and maintain contacts appropriate to an effective strength and conditioning program
   » capability to convey a clear and concise message while communicating, both verbally and in writing
   » capability to work effectively with a wide variety of constituencies in a diverse community
   » capability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
   » Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
   » capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
   » capability to anticipate and solve problems.

Shift
Non Standard Shift: The adjunct Coach, Strength & Conditioning will be working during scheduled games, practices and workout times, that may take place outside of standard business hours. The prosperous candidate must be able to work long days including early mornings, evenings and weekends located on the needs of each team.

TravelOccasional overnight travel may be required (10% or less)

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $55,500 - $57,000
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
