Case Mgr Spv, ResidentialPOSITION OVERVIEWlisting title: Case Management managerProgram/Department: Residential Member Agency: Parsons/Northeast Approved date: 11/18/2020 POSITION SUMMARY this job offer is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative supervision of foster care regulations and goals in the OCFS residential programs. ESSENTIAL tasks AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other tasks may be assigned. Employees are expected to be awake and alert while working. » Recruit, hire, train and supervise case management team, assuring that workers have the tools and resources needed to execute their job tasks. » Provide leadership abilities in the provision of the foster care regulated services to youth and families, including proficiency in Connections, and all documentation required to meet regulations » Ensure staff are documenting and completing foster care tasks in according to regulatory and programmatic timelines. » Participate in the administrative on-call rotation for residential program. » Ensure youth have identified permanency, education, life expertise, and vocational plans to meet their future. » Ensure youth have identified contact with families and that families are forefront in the planning for youth. » Be the first administrative contact for LDSS in planning for youth, building relationships with county managers, and having continuing contact to make sure the relationship between agency and county is a healthy one. » Attend meetings with and keep abreast of OCFS expectations, ADMs, and requests. » Work with residential line staff, directors, and clinical team to ensure team approach with youth and families. » Work in collaboration with Clinical Director and managers of foster care program to ensure seamless transition for step ups and step downs from programs. managerY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises non-exempt employees. Supervises and evaluates the work of individuals; has responsibility for subordinate performance and output. Provides supportive success-focused supervision to direct reports. leadership abilities Supervises work assignments and performance development/appraisal. Responsible for selection, training, development, and performance management of personnel. OR Provides significant guidance and consultation to staff through direction, review, and feedback on work assignments. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Direction: receives guidance with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines. May require approval before proceeding with next steps. QUALIFICATIONS to execute this job prosperously, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or practice Masters degree preferred and at least three to four years of requisite practice. practice in child welfare and/or juvenile detention preferred.
