Job Summary The Sr. Business Manager is responsible for managing the business and financial operations of the School of Science which includes finance, budget, grant administration, academic support, and policy interpretation. The Sr. Business Manager works with the Dean to establish and implement financial policies and procedures as well as develop and implement planning and quality initiatives. The manager will represent the School of Science on business affairs to the Rensselaer Community and will serve as a resource to business staff to ensure consistent financial and operational practices that comply with Institute & Portfolio policies and guidelines. Actively participate in the short and long range financial and performance planning of the School and lead the development of training for business staff. Minimum Qualifications » Requires Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field » 5 years of related progressively responsible practice in administration, monitoring and management of research and/or other closely related types of restricted funds including 2 years of management practice significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered.
