Job Summary The adjunct Strength & Conditioning Coach will assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in designing and implementing programs for all varsity athletic programs; specifically responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of safe and effective strength and conditioning programs to improve performance of the Men's & Women's varsity teams. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of East Campus Strength and Conditioning Center during assigned shift and during absence of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Minimum Qualifications » Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution » 1 or more years practice working as a coach, adjunct coach, or intern in the field of strength and conditioning. » NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification, NSCA Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach certification or CSCCa Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified certification. candidates must meet stated minimum education and practice requirements. Preferred Qualifications » Master's Degree Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution » practice training athletes of all abilities in a variety of sports » CSCCa - SCCC certification Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities » expertise of strength training, speed, agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular conditioning » expertise of NCAA regulations and guidelines » Demonstrated capability to motivate a variety of student-athletes » capability to initiate, develop and maintain contacts appropriate to an effective strength and conditioning program » capability to convey a clear and concise message while communicating, both verbally and in writing » capability to work effectively with a wide variety of constituencies in a diverse community » capability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures » Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion » capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives. » capability to anticipate and solve problems.
