Job Summary
The Career Counselor provides career counseling and advice to all undergraduate and graduate students such that CLASS, Arch, and the Cooperative Education Program are fully supported. The Career Counselor serves as the CCPD liaison to the Lally School of Management.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Education, Counseling or related field
• Two (2) years of professional practice in fields related to student programming
candidates must meet stated minimum education and practice requirements.

• Excellent oral and written communication expertise
• Strong organizational expertise
• Excellent customer service expertise
• capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
• capability to work with a diverse population
• Strong computer expertise and expertise
• Demonstrated expertise in counseling, interpersonal communication and written communication focusing on a traditional college-age student population
• Computer skill, especially use of word processing and internet access and research

Business Hours: Monday - Friday

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $55,500 - $59,225 
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
