VISITING adjunct PROFESSOR OF ENGLISHThe English Department at Union College invites applications for a visiting position for the academic year 2024-25. The possibility of renewal depends on funding. We seek an expert in the Digital Humanities with a literary specialization prior to 1700. candidates should have a Ph.D. by September 1, 2024, an established record of teaching excellence, and a strong research program.The teaching load at Union College is six courses per year: two courses in each of three 10-week terms. The prosperous candidate will offer introductory English courses in digital studies, fiction, drama, poetry, and/or BIPOC literatures; intermediate-level electives in areas of specialization; and a section of the college's first-year inquiry seminar. Compensation The annual income range for this job offer is $67,000 - $69,000 commensurate with practice. Except for functions with a set rate of pay, the wage/income of the finalist selected for this function will be set located on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, practice, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
