Job Summary The adjunct Strength & Conditioning Coach will supervise all operations of the Mueller Center weight room and assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in designing and implementing programs for all varsity athletic programs. Specifically responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of safe and effective strength and conditioning programs to improve performance of club sports, the general population, and the Men's & Women's varsity teams. The AS&C Coach will assist in the oversight of East Campus Strength and Conditioning Center during assigned shifts and during absence of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach when available. Minimum Qualifications » Bachelor's Degree in in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field » 1 or more years practice working as a coach, adjunct coach, or intern in the field of strength & conditioning » One of the following certifications: » NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist » NSCA Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach - OR - » CSCCA Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified certification significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered. Preferred Qualifications » Master's Degree Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution » practice training athletes of all abilities in a variety of sports Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities » expertise of strength training, speed, agility, flexibility, and cardivascular conditioning » expertise of NCAA regulations and guidelines » Demonstrated capability to motivate a variety of student-athletes » capability to initiate, develop and maintain contacts appropriate to an effective strength and conditioning program » capability to convey a clear and concise message while communicating, both verbally and in writing » capability to work effectively with a wide variety of constituencies in a diverse community » capability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures » Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion » capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives. » capability to anticipate and solve problems.
