Job Summary The adjunct Director of Student Activities & Technical Services is responsible for event production support for student club events, programs, and productions in all Rensselaer Union spaces. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Student Activities, the adjunct Director will support the comprehensive technological infrastructure of the Union. The adjunct director will work with students, staff, and faculty on cross-cultural initiatives to enhance diversity and inclusion through clubs and building operations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus one (1) or more years of significant professional practice Valid US driver license required significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered. Preferred Qualifications Minimum Knowledge, expertise, and Abilities » Knowledge of sound reinforcement, stage lighting, A/V tech, and broadcast technology » Knowledge of student services related practices and applicable professional standards » Demonstrated capability to build strong student relationships with a diverse student population » capability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with diverse audiences. » Demonstrated knowledge of the needs of diverse student populations. » capability to gather and evaluate information and make effective recommendations. » Proficiency in Microsoft Office » practice with graphic design » Knowledge of computer networks, hardware, and software Shift Business Hours: Monday - Friday TravelLocal travel between campus locations only Driving Driving a Rensselaer vehicle for non-passenger use Starting income/Rate Expected hiring range: $55,500 - 60,000 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials.
