Job Summary
The Sr. Annual Giving agent is responsible for managing a portfolio of 150-200 prospects who are capable of giving $10,000 - $100,000. The agent will travel frequently to solicit annual gifts of $100,000 down to the Patroon Society level ($2,500/year).

Minimum Qualifications
   » Bachelor's Degree in significant field, flexible
   » 5 or more years progressively responsible fund-raising practice
   » Valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
   » practice in higher education as a front-line fundraiser with a prosperous record of prospect development or relationship building
   » practice managing fundraising volunteers
   » practice soliciting parents
   » practice soliciting gifts over $10,000
   » practice planning and implementing events
 

Minimum Knowledge, expertise, and Abilities
   » capability to cultivate, solicit and steward donor prospects
   » capability to develop and maintain effective relations with donors, including knowledge donor motivation, and developing and sustaining donor commitment
   » capability to effectively facilitate discussions and effectively engage in public speaking
   » capability to promotes and implement processes to build effective donor relationships
   » capability to collaborate with others including own team/department, others across the organization and externally where appropriate
   » capability to work effectively individually and as a group/ team member exploring options, making decisions and seeking support when appropriate
   » capability to develop and contribute to the use of digitally integrated fundraising activities and effectively use analytics
   » capability to plan and implement programs, projects and/or events including identifying specific requirements and developing project plans
   » capability to work with colleagues and portfolio leadership abilities to implement change initiatives that enhances the donor practice
   » capability to collect, analyze and manage significant information, including prospect research
   » capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
   » capability to multi-task, handle multiple projects and deadlines
   » Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent
   » capability to lgain and use discipline specific technologies including database management software and web-located communication tools

Shift
Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required

TravelOccasional overnight travel may be required (10% or less)

Driving
Driving a personal vehicle for non-passenger use

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $97,000 - $102,000 / yr
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
