Job Summary
The Clinical Case Manager is part of the multidisciplinary, integrated Rensselaer Student Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as an Institute-wide priority. The Clinical Case Manager provides developmentally appropriate services through Clustered Learning, Advocacy and Support for Students (CLASS), with a focus in three main areas: 1) clinical case management, 2) consultation and referral services, and 3) outreach and avoidance education.

Minimum Qualifications
   » Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
   » One (1) or more years of practice providing case management services
candidates must meet stated minimum education and practice requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
   » Master's Degree in Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
   » 3 years of practice providing case management services 

Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities
   » expertise of developmental, psychological and medical issues in the college student population
   »  expertise of crisis intervention techniques
   » capability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse student groups, medical and mental health staff, and campus and community partners
   » Demonstrated high degree of effective listening and communication expertise, verbal and written
   » Demonstrated high degree of inter-personal and inter-cultural competencies
   » Conflict Resolution expertise
   » capability to articulate, develop, and manage program and improvement initiatives
   » Demonstrated practice in public speaking
   » capability to provide exemplary response to diverse constituencies while maintaining impartiality and integrity
   » Excellent verbal and written communication expertise, critical-thinking expertise, use of sound judgment
   » Strong attention to accuracy and detail

Shift
Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required

TravelLocal travel between campus locations only

Driving
Incidental driving possible, but not required

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $55500- $60000
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
