Member Support Services manager

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Member Support Services manager. The sucessful candidate will supervise the day-to-day functions of assigned teams to ensure the following: member satisfaction, profitcapability, security, compliance with Federal, State, etc. regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures. They will hire, coach and develop staff, as well as lead and participate on teams to implement changes that support Credit Union initiatives.
Responsibilities
   » Ensures open communication within the team using all forms of contact and conducts regular meetings to disseminate and acquire input to/from staff.
   » Measures team and individual performance, acexpertises accomplishments, provides coaching and development and takes appropriate action to hold individuals accountable. Contributes to interviewing and hiring process, as needed.
   » Monitor team tasks to ensure work is accomplished within expected timeframes while adhering to compliance requirements, quality of work expectations and established goals.
   » Ensure prompt resolution of member issues and written replies to member correspondence.
   » Task responsibilities include responsibility for deposit accounts and all account related activity, including but not limited to Abandoned Property, Special Accounts, IRAs, statement accuracy, Image Capture, ATM servicing, mobile Remote Deposit Capture, transactions received by mail and tax reporting. Regular communication with vendors is required.
   » Ensure that all policies, procedures and security measures are efficient and consistent all over area of responsibility and meets regulatory/compulsory and Internal Audit requirements.
   » Initiate, facilitate and implement process improvement initiatives within the department and participate on teams and projects.
   » Maintain consciousness of industry trends, including regulatory changes that affect assigned team(s). Communicates changes and works with management to revise processes to meet those requirements.
   » Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
   » Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Support the Credit Union’s initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.
   » Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.

Qualifications
   » High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate is required
   » Associate’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent practice for each undergraduate year not completed is preferred. 
   » Minimum 1 Year leadership abilities and/or managery practice practice required
   » Minimum 1 Year practice in a financial institution practice required
   » Minimum 1 Year practice processing new accounts, including IRA and Trust accounts practice preferred
