Expected Start Date: November 09, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Aspen Village Special Care Home City/Town: Emerald Park Department: Long Term Care Nursing Unit Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 224 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of the Nursing Unit, the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and service is provided on the Nursing Unit. As an experienced practitioner, the Resident Care Coordinator acts in a leadership role to provide specialized clinical expertise, co-ordination of resident care, and support and teaching to the care team (including residents and residents’ families) within a collaborative environment. The incumbent must be able to multitask and be physically able to respond quickly to emergent situations, as he/she is the immediate supervisor on the unit. The routine procedures are generally predetermined but critical thinking and independent judgment is an integral part of the position. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Minimum of three (3) years relevant long term care nursing experience Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Other Education and Training Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Leadership skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of long-term care needs of adults and their families Work as a team member, can establish & maintain interpersonal relationships Demonstrates self-direction Knowledge of practical application of a broad range of clinical interventions Ability to implement and support a collaborative working environment Facilitate the implementation, evaluation & design of the current nursing model Ability to delegate appropriately. Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
