Ten Broeck is a 258-bed facility that is recognized all over the Hudson Valley for our outstanding delivery of subacute and long-term care.The Nurse Practitioner is responsible to assist with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations; perform the important task of educating patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments as well as conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's primary healthcare provider. WE OFFER OUR NURSE PRACTITIONERS: » $5,000 Loan toward your first home purchase! » 401K with 50% employer match » Referral bonuses » Flexible Scheduling » Employee Discount Programs » Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance » everyday Pay ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR A NURSE PRACTITIONER: » Functions independently to execute age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients. ·Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs. » Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities. » Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stcapability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting function. ·Assists with the provision of surgical care in conformity with facility, state, and federal regulations. ·Monitors the effectiveness of interventions. » Facilitates the patient's transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting, transferring, and discharging patients. ·Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals. ·Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A NURSE PRACTITIONER: » Requires movement all over entire facility. » Able to bend, lift, transport equipment and residents. NURSE PRACTITIONER Qualifications required · Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program · Minimum of 1-2 years OR clinical perioperative practice. 1-2 years' practice in the Nurse Practitioner function preferred.
