Nursing Office adjunct - Sub Acute UnitOverviewWith a focus on customer service, assists with the coordinating of programs, services and communication of program with patients/residents, families and caremembers on the Center for Healing Sub-Acute UnitResponsibilities• Coordinates the record keeping of all residents on assigned units to include the following: Prepares and ensures upkeep of room listings. Checks and orders supplies i.e. office supplies, sterile stores, etc. Re-stocks supplies in designated area. • Maintains accurate and systematic filing system on all current nursing records & related statistics. Photocopies necessary forms, information, etc. for the Nursing Service Department. Maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients/residents. • Desk/Unit work: Answers telephone and relays messages. Prepares and maintains all other miscellaneous paperwork; assists with admission, transfer, or discharge of patients/residents. • Upload tracking reports into EMR and provide follow-up (i.e., everyday Patient Monitoring, etc.) • Assist in the Admissions process with setup and preparation of patient/resident rooms. • Schedule for clinical appointments inside/outside the facility. Arranges for transportation as necessary.• Assists in taking patients/residents to religious and recreational activities, and monitors chapel as scheduled, if needed. • In the spirit of cooperation and in response to patient/resident needs, it may be necessary to execute other related tasks as requested and unrelated tasks in case of emergency. • Communicates with RNs, LPNs, NAs, Residents, families, MDs, and all ancillary departments. • Collects all previous monthly forms and stores by unit. • Manages the Roam Alert system and updates list of patients/residents via email to all required disciplines. • Will complete prior authorization forms for resident medication. • Performs various tasks as requested by Nursing Management. • Attends and keeps up to date with all required in-service programs. • Physical demands : Standing and walking during shift. Lifting and carrying equipment assist residents into equipment and in moving about. Visual acuity is necessary to read instruction and charts and observe residents who may need assistance during treatment. Manual finger dexterity to adjust equipment, Body coordination to assist in positioning resident comfortably in, at or on equipment. Surroundings well lighted work area. • Exposed to infections, odors and behavioral changes and reactions of the aged. • Sense of responsibility and accountcapability, self-directing , creative, and innovative capability to relate effectively, tactful.QualificationsEducation Requirements • High school graduate or equivalency leading to acceptable competence in basic arithmetic and English.practice Requirements • Twelve months related business practice, including practice with MS Office, spreadsheets, etc.• Good interdepartmental communication expertise.
