What is an Energy Efficiency Evaluation Analyst?
The Energy Efficiency Evaluation Analyst function involves supporting Central Hudson’s broad portfolio of Energy Efficiency and Beneficial Electrification programs available to our customers in the Mid-Hudson Valley region. The Demand-Side Management team is responsible for the design, implementation, management, evaluation, and reporting requirements of these programs. The Analysts responsibilities include tracking program expenses and energy savings, strategic portfolio planning, coordinating program impact and process evaluations, compiling key program metrics, and reporting key performance indicators to management and stakeholders. Additionally, the analyst will handle energy savings calculations and other technical computations.
 
What does an Energy Efficiency Evaluation Analyst do?
   » Analyzes data, assesses energy efficiency & beneficial electrification implementation processes, and supervises quality assurance protocols and procedures
   » Researches new cost-effective measures and program enhancements for customers and conduct cost-effectiveness analyses for program planning
   » Tracks monthly expenditures and energy savings for all energy efficiency and beneficial electrification programs.
   » Assists in the forecast of program energy savings and expenses.
   » Tracks the Company’s Earnings Adjustment Mechanism (financial earnings incentive) potential
   » Collaborates with the Joint Utilities and NYSERDA on statewide evaluations, benefit cost analyses, and regulatory efforts.
   » Provides support to develop budgets for proposed energy efficiency programs, ensuring management has up-to-date and accurate information
   » Performs energy computations including the continuing evaluation of methodologies within the New York Technical Resource Manual. Participate in measure reviews as an active member of the New York Technical Resource Manual Management Committee.
   » Supports the day-to-day relationship with contract or external service providers, including negotiation and application of contractual agreements for best results
   » Participates in regulatory efforts related to pre-approval filings, shareholder incentive filings, results reporting, and prepare responses to information requests
   » Coordinates meetings and analysis with outside evaluation consultants
   » Develops regulatory filings such as the System Energy Efficiency Plan and represent the company's position all over the regulatory process
   » Assists with pre-approval filings, program design, implementation/operations, evaluation efforts, reporting, and regulatory oversight
   » Supports storm/emergency restoration efforts
What does it take to be an Energy Efficiency Evaluation Analyst?
Required:
   » Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field and 3 years of practice in related field
   » Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and the capability to lgain new computer software programs quickly
   » Strong auditing and report editing expertise
   » Strong analytical, organizational, quantitative, and strategic thinking expertise
   » Strong interpersonal, written, and communications expertise
   » A valid driver’s license
Preferred:
   » practice evaluating energy efficiency programs and the NYS Technical Resource Manual (TRM)
   » Professional practice in a regulatory, environmental, or energy/energy efficiency related field
   » Professional practice working in the regulated electric and/or gas utility industry
   » Knowledge and knowledge of local and national energy policy and legislation

Pay range: $51,400- $110,400
