adjunct DIRECTOR OF INTERCULTURAL AFFAIRSadjunct Director of Intercultural AffairsPay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full-time manager: Chief Diversity agent (CDO) for Student and Institutional Success/Director of Intercultural Affairs Position Purpose: Supports programming and initiatives across all student populations to help create a sense of belonging. Collaborates with the Director and other campus partners to develop and implement training opportunities focused on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion for student organizations and individual students as part of overarching student leadership abilities development. Essential tasks and Responsibilities: »Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging: Advocates for the needs of underrepresented students among internal and external constituencies as appropriate. Works with the CDO-Student/Director of Intercultural Affairs to develop and implement the College initiatives that build and support proactive, diverse, inclusive, and equitable practices. Works with administrators, faculty, and students across campus to identify and develop opportunities for diversity-located conversations and forums. Collaborates with campus constituents to provide support for diverse communities. Serves on college Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging committees as assigned. »Programming: Collaborates with departments across campus to plan and carry out DEIB training as well as implement significant campus-wide programming and cultural speakers. Coordinate the Posse programming for scholars and provide support for the scholars. »Student Support: Supports faculty advisors, Student affairs staff, and other key constituents in developing student support strategies for historically marginalized students. Serves as an advisor and supervises the formation and sustaincapability of multicultural clubs and is a resource for advisors who work with other organizations, including My Brother's Keeper (MBK), Men Assertively Manifesting Bold Alliances (MAMBA), My Sister's Keeper (MSK), and leadership abilities in Diversity under Student Forum. Take the lead on running the Bridges and provide direct support to the . »Administrative tasks: Contributes to the day-to-day operations of the Office of Intercultural Affairs. Coordinates Student Employment and supervises work-study students. Using available resources, establish and follow a budget that supports the objectives of the office. Assist with contracts. Other tasks assigned by the CDO-Student/Director for Intercultural Affairs. Qualifications required » Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs Administration and/or a related field and/or a combination of education, training, and practice. A Master's degree is preferred. » Demonstrated expertise and practice working with a number of diverse groups and constituencies, supporting and advocating for a variety of identities including, but not limited to: African/African American/Black, Arab/Arab American, Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander, Latino/Hispanic, Native American/American Indian/Alaskan Native, Biracial/Multiracial, International, religiously diverse, First-Generation and/or LGBTQ+ identities » Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings. » Possesses excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication expertise, coupled with strong organizational abilities, and a proven capcapability to build and maintain relationships, while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the College to achieve shared goals and objectives. » capability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a time-sensitive environment. » capability to work both independently and collaboratively. » The capability to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues. The annual income range for this job offer is $60,000-$61,800. Except for functions with a set rate of pay, the wage/income of the finalist selected for this function will be set located on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, practice, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
