Job Summary
The Manager of Campaign and Special Projects, reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development and Campaign Director (Associate Vice President), serves as a project manager for Rensselaer's Comprehensive Campaign. The Campaign Manager is responsible for monitoring campaign performance, superviseing campaign reporting, preparing campaign timelines and coordinating the volunteer campaign structure. The Campaign Manager also supports the Associate Vice President and the Vice President of Institute Advancement in the preparation of campaign activity and campaign reports for university leadership abilities including the university's Board of Trustees.

Minimum Qualifications
   » Bachelor's Degree 
   » 5 or more years in the following:
• practice in higher education as a front-line fundraiser with a prosperous record of prospect development or relationship building
• practice managing fundraising volunteers
• practice with project management.

   » capability to plan and implement programs, projects and/or events including identifying specific requirements and developing project plans
   » capability to collect, analyze and manage significant information to synthesize into effective reports
   » capability to create effective reports and presentations

   » capability to work effectively individually and as a group/ team member exploring options, making decisions and seeking support when appropriate
   » capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
   » capability to multi-task, handle multiple projects and deadlines
   » Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent
   » capability to lgain and use discipline specific technologies including database management software and web-located communication tools

Shift
Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required

TravelOccasional travel (10-15%) is required for campaign events

Driving
Driving a personal vehicle for non-passenger use

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $80,000- $95,000
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
