POSITION OVERVIEW
Title: On-line/On-call (Security & Transportation)
Program: Residential
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Evening
Schenectady - Park Place - Residential

We are seeking for a On-line/On-call Security and Transportation Professional to fill an integral function within our Residential Program team. POSITION SUMMARY
this job offer is responsible for ensuring the security of campus and community residential locations, including working with staff, maintaining communication with resident's family and or guardians, and superviseing resident transportation needs.

ESSENTIAL tasks AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other tasks may be assigned.
   » supervise and ensure proper implementation of all applicable emergency systems, agency policies, and program procedures
   » Respond to crises within assigned Residential Program/locations. Ensure response follows agency policy and protocol appropriate to the situation, and ensure that the individual clients behavior management plan(s) are followed. Ensure any physical intervention is conducted in conformity with TCI standards. Ensure completion of all forms and appropriate documentation of every restraint.
   » Provide support to teams when asked for behavioral interventions and events. Will direct the team in absence of residential manager and will be a source of training , supporting and modeling for other staff
   » Ensure the security of campus and community locations, responding to any security concerns. Conduct random checks of assigned locations to ensure safety of residents.
   » Serve as the primary person in charge of calling the police for any resident considered missing, completing or ensuring completion of the Missing Person Report form and canceling Missing Person Reports upon a residents return
   » Ensure contacts have been made with the residents family and/or guardian for all significant incidents.
   » Maintain regular entries in the Online/On call log regarding all significant events that occur, and provide the leadership abilities with specific additional information as. Ensure completion of documentation for all significant incidents.
   » Ensure significant incidents are called into the Justice Center as applicable.
   » Serve as the central person in charge of off campus trips. Approve and log all off-campus trips and assure such trips have proper staff coverage. Distribute and collect vehicle keys and gas cards. Make regular checks to assure vehicle cleanliness. Assess weather conditions to determine the appropriateness of off-campus trips.
   » supervise and/or transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs
   » Check and assure that all visitors have prior approval to be on the grounds; if so, direct them to the appropriate visiting area. If a visitor does not have permission to be on grounds, explain the proper visiting procedure to them and invite them to leave.
   » Be available to hear and document any neighbor concerns. Record the neighbors contact information. Provide information regarding the concern to administration.
   » Work requires up to 25% community travel/visits.
   » Community travel/visits require visits to client homes.
   » Direct care of clients; required to execute Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques.
   » Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens. Possible exposure to verbal and/or physical aggression

EDUCATION and/or practice
Requires an Associates Degree with a minimum of three to four years related practice, or equivalent education and practice. Bachelors Degree preferred.

CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE
Valid NYS Driver's License
