adjunct Men's & Women's Swimming CoachThe adjunct Men's and Women's Swimming Coach will assist the head coach with all aspects of running a prosperous men's and women's swimming and diving program.Work Days: Varied Shift Start/End Time: Varies located on the business need Hours Per Week: 32 Weeks Per Year: 43 adjunct Men's & Women's Swimming Coach Pay Status and Classification: Non-Exempt, Regular Full-Time manager: Head Coach Men & Women Swimming & Diving/Aquatics Director Position Purpose: The adjunct Men's and Women's Swimming Coach will assist the head coach with all aspects of running a prosperous men's and women's swimming and diving program. Essential Responsibilities and tasks: » Will serve as recruiting coordinator for the men's & women's team. Responsibilities include sourcing, initial recruit contacts, planning & executing multiple recruiting events all over the year. » Monitor the academic progress of swimming student-athletes. This includes scheduling and monitoring study hall hours and weekly academic meetings » Responsible for a training group of 15-20 athletes, includes their everyday practice plan, injury management, interfacing with training room staff, and coaching at competitions » Communicate effectively with student-athletes, recruits, parents, alumni, and administration. » Create, plan and implement aquatics programs to more fully engage the campus community through intramurals, recreation and educational opportunities. » Act as manager to work study lifeguard staff - includes but not limited to scheduling, conflict resolution, monthly in service training, interfacing with HR and Work Study office to resolve any issues. » Adhere to NCAA rules and compliance. » Perform various tasks within the Athletics Department. Qualifications required » Bachelor's degree required. » Previous collegiate coaching or competitive swimming practice is preferred. » Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities expertise. » capability to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Union College. » Demonstrated expertise of NCAA rules and regulations. » A philosophy compatible with a multi-classified liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards. » Candidates must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals. Compensation: The expected rate for this job offer is $25.00-$30.00 per hour. Except for functions with a set rate of pay, the wage/income of the finalist selected for this function will be set located on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, practice, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
