Job Summary
The adjunct Vice President (AVP) for Regional Development reports to the Associate Vice President for Development and Fundraising and will be responsible for leading all regional fundraising staff to achieve annual cash and overall commitment goals as stated in the Campaign and Institute Advancement (IA) Performance Plans. Working with Vice Presidents, Deans, Directors and other unit leaders, the AVP will plan and implement program strategic philanthropic relationships with individuals, corporations, private foundations, and international advancement programs that provide annual revenue and Campaign commitments to the Institute. This includes establishing fund raising facilitated revenue and other advancement goals; coordinating the assignment of prospects to the regional agents and ensuring their effective management; coordinating fund-raising volunteers as appropriate; and providing appropriate levels of communication, involvement opportunities, and stewardship to prospects and donors. Under the leadership abilities of the Associate Vice President, the AVP will partner with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and the Associate Vice President for Constituent Advancement and Development and key IA leaders to ensure a collaborative and coordinated fundraising efforts through the Portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications
   » Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
   » Eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional fundraising and management practice preferably in a college, university or academic medical setting
   » Demonstrated history of superior team leadership abilities including practice building strong, autonomous, and collaborative teams.
   » Demonstrated success in personally cultivating, soliciting, and closing gifts $1 Million+
   » Valid US driver's licens
   » significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
   » Advanced degree preferred
   » Comprehensive campaign practice.

   » Strong organization and project management expertise and capability to plan and schedule individual work and teamwork, set priorities, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
   » capability to maintain discretion and the highest ethical and professional standards while handling confidential information.
