Job Summary The Audio Video Technician configures, operates, monitors, repairs and maintains AV equipment and cabling and connected services in the Registrar classrooms and for special events The Sr. AV Technician also performs advanced troubleshooting and analysis Minimum Qualifications All candidates must have » High School/Equivalent required » At least one (1) year of related practice in audio/video recording and/or services To be considered as a Sr. AV Technician, candidates must also have » Three or more years of related, and progressively more responsible, practice in audio/video recording and/or services » significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered. Preferred Qualifications Minimum Knowledge, expertise, and Abilities » Knowledge and proficiency in the following: » Advanced knowledge of AV equipment and computer hardware and software » Knowledge of video conferencing and streaming standards » capability to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot AV issues » Computer literacy to include knowledge of Microsoft products and computer networks » capability to understand and apply information in AV diagrams, schedules, and schematics » capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives » Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship expertise » capability to work independently in a variety of technical and operational situations Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities » Knowledge and proficiency in the following: » Audio technology » Video technology » Projection systems » Audio Visual Control systems, e.g. Extron » Public Address systems » Video Conferencing and Video Streaming » Setup and operations of live productions and special events Shift Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required TravelLocal travel between campus locations only Driving Driving personal vehicle for non-passenger use may be required Starting income/Rate Expected hiring range: » AV Technician: $19.00 - $20.00 » Sr. AV Technician: $21.00 - $21.50 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials.
