Vice President of Business Services and DevelopmentJOB DESCRIPTIONincome - $85,000Generous PTO, 403(b), Medical, Dental, Vision, Life. POSITION SUMMARY The Vice President (VP) of Business Services and Development is responsible for the overall administration and development of the business services of the agency including: Senior Nutrition, Reception, and Custom Cleaning. Human Services Agency ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership abilities in the development and implementation of the operational plans and activities of the Business Services Division Supervise, evaluate, develop, and train the Director of Custom Cleaning and Transportation, the Manager of Food Services and other staff as assigned. As part of the Executive Team be actively involved in the organization's strategic planning Responsible for the development and implementation of business and marketing plans as it relates to the achievement of agency revenue goals for assigned departments Actively develop and search for new business opportunities by networking, cold calling, or other means to increase profitable sales opportunities and maximize revenue for all of Business Services that are keeping with the mission and vision of Gateway Hudson Valley Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to facilitate seamless communication between the customer and Gateway Complete and/or supervise special projects and programs as directed by the CEO Collaborate with the CFO and Division Directors/Managers on pricing of new products and updating existing products with the goal of securing a return to the organization Ensure that Division Directors/Managers update costs and prices on existing products at least on an annual basis or as market conditions dictate with the goal of securing a return to the organization With the Division Directors, complete an annual sales and expenses forecast for each division Develop and maintain a monthly sales report inclusive of metrics for each division and report data to the CEO and Board of Directors Work with CFO and Division Directors/Managers on budget development, adhering to budget projection, adjusting as necessary and justifying any budget deviations on an continuing basis Ensure that inventory is justified at a minimum on an annual basis Act as a leader in representing the interests of the organization to the community Coordinate with staff responsible for the agency's marketing to insure the Business Services Divisions have accurate and up to date marketing tools including but not limited to brochures, Facebook postings, website information, business cards, etc. Health, Safety, & Compliance Be familiar with Health and Safety Accident avoidance Program and abide by all safety and health rules, work practices, and regulations. Actively participate in and support employee participation in health and safety practices and accident avoidance. Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Conduct everyday inspections of work areas to look for unsafe conditions Ensure all accidents are promptly reported to immediate manager and Human Resources. Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment necessary for maintaining a safe work environment. Train staff on all safe operating procedures and on the use of personal protective equipment. Hold all subordinates accountable in providing direction necessary for maintaining a safe work environment Agency Standards Demonstrate positive work attitudes and habits. Act as a function model for vocational success for interns as assigned Participate in training programs for professional growth as scheduled and approved Responsible for knowledge and adhering to Gateway Hudson Valley's Corporate Compliance Policy and Standards of Conduct as well as all applicable program rules, regulations and policies Perform other tasks as assigned QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSIncreased sales in past functions Demonstrated capability to immediately identify where to look for potential business leads and key stakeholders practice in writing proposals Sharp public speaking expertise and capability to deliver presentations to a range of audiences Excellent writing expertise Proven track record of success in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients and partners, and achieving sales targets. Strong organizational, analytical expertise and strong attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication expertise Strong presentation expertise Entrepreneurial and action-oriented Proven capability adjust priorities, meet deadlines, and prosperously operate in a fast-paced work environment capability to follow through on and prosperously execute tasks while adhering to specified quality standards suitable education Bachelor's degree (or 10 years of related practice) in communications, business, marketing or related field practice: 8 years of progressive practice in business development, sales, marketing or similar function. 5 years of management practice PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's Degree in Business or related WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to prosperously perform the essential functions of this job.
