Reporting to the Chief Information agent (CIO), the Director of Technology Infrastructure and Operations is a key leadership abilities function responsible for superviseing all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure and operations functions. This includes managing data centers, networks, and cloud services to ensure high availcapability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale IT environments, leading teams, and driving technological innovation within a regulated environment. this function involves leveraging co-sourced vendor services combined with internal staff to plan, build, and run technology services across various domains including service desk, mainframe, network, database, server administration, vulnercapability management, and collaboration tools. Additionally, the Director is responsible for ensuring the department aligns with the ITIL framework and focuses on continuous improvement for efficient and reliable service delivery. What does a Director of Technology Infrastructure & Operations do? The Director of Technology Infrastructure & Operations is responsible for the following: Strategic leadership abilities: » Develops and executes the strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure and operations in alignment with the company’s business objectives and overall technology strategy » Leads initiatives to modernize and optimize the company’s IT infrastructure, including the adoption of cloud technologies and other emerging technologies » Collaborates with other teams (cyber, applications, strategy/governance) to harden infrastructure and maintain robust cybersecurity measures » Ensures compliance with all significant cybersecurity regulations and standards » Collaborates with Strategy & Governance area to develop and manage the IT infrastructure & operations budget, strategy, and staffing plans, ensuring cost-effective use of Company resources Infrastructure Management: » supervises the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including data centers, networks, servers, storage, and cloud services. » Ensures the relicapability, scalcapability, and security of IT infrastructure to support business operations and growth Operational Excellence: » Manages 24/7 IT operations, including Network Operations Center (NOC) to ensure high availcapability and performance of IT systems and services » Implements best practices and standards for IT operations, including ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and other significant frameworks » Establishes and leverages Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to drive efficient and reliable IT services » Ensures compliance with all significant cybersecurity regulations and standards Team leadership abilities and Development: » Leads and mentors a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement » Provides guidance and support for professional development and career growth opportunities for team members Vendor Management: » Maintains an operational partnership with 3rd party vendors, including Co-Sourced strategic delivery vendor, to optimize and maintain IT services » Leverages relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance and value Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: » Develops and maintains disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of IT systems and services in the event of disruptions » Conducts regular testing and reviews of disaster recovery and significant business continuity plans » Leads / Represents the Technology organization during Storm planning and response scenarios » supervise the Technology Incident Response program to support 24/7 company operations in alignment with SLAs What does it take to be a Director of Technology Infrastructure & Operations? Required: » Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field » A minimum of 7 years of practice in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership abilities function » In-depth expertise of data center management, network architecture, cloud computing, and ITIL IT operations best practices » Strong leadership abilities and team management expertise, with a proven capability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams » capability to develop and execute strategic plans, aligning IT initiatives with business objectives » Excellent verbal and written communication expertise, with the capability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage positive stakeholder relationships at all levels within the organization » Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise, with the capability to make data-driven decisions » practice with project estimation, capital and expense forecasting, and resource utilization; practice creating and managing budgets » capability to teach and mentor others and build a team culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement » Valid driver’s license Preferred: » Master’s degree or significant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) » Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards significant to the utility industry is a plus (NERC-CIP) » practice leading organizational change through the delivery of people, process, and/or technology improvement initiatives » Prior practice building or managing a Co-sourced IT/OT support organization » practice or certification in an Organizational Change Management (OCM) framework such as PROSCI Pay range: $154,500-239,400 Please go to www.centralhudson.com/employment.
