Senior Dental adjunctSun River Health provides the highest quality of comprehensive primary, preventative and behavioral health services to all who see it, regardless of insurance status and capability to pay, especially for the underserved and vulnerable.Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Senior Dental adjunct to join our team in Beacon.A Senior Dental adjunct is responsible for assisting Dentists/ Hygienists as needed and preparing/ dismantling operatories for patient treatment. Essential tasks and Responsibilities of a Senior Dental adjunct: » Checks in patient; notifies provider patient is present. » Monitors and updates charts: enters date of visit, department and provider name on everyday log sheet; adds sheets to medical record; places and documents radiographs in/on X-ray folder; places treatment plans, periodontal charts, informed consent forms, referral forms, and contracts for complex treatment into the dental subdivision of the comprehensive medical record. » Records patient appointment data everyday i.e., no shows, cancellations, emergencies and payment source (Medicaid, self-pay, etc.) to accurately collect monthly dental statistics. » Assists Dentists/ Hygienists with patient care. » Under the supervision of the Chief Dental agent, follows OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines endorsed by the department, Joint Commission and organization. » Maintains supplies and instruments in dental operatory. » Maintains dental laboratory, processes instruments, and monitors lab cases (check-in of lab cases, pouring impressions where indicated, storing cases, sending out lab cases, completing lab log sheets, etc.). » Follows weekly and monthly maintenance procedures for all sterilization equipment. » Is responsible for pouring study models. » Performs curing light monitoring on a monthly basis. » Maintains water lines (using ICX tablets) properly. Minimum Education Requirement: High school diploma/ GED with previous training and/ or practice as a Dental adjunct Preferred Education Requirement: Associate's degree Minimum Work Related practice: 2-4 years Minimum Licensure: Completion of an accredited Dental adjunct Training Program Hourly Rate: $20.50 - $22.50/hour Profil / Compétences:
