POSITION OVERVIEW

School located Clinician - Albany Schuyler Achievement Academy
Licensed Social Workers are eligible for a $7,500 signing bonus!
(MSWs with their Limited Permit are eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus!)

If you answered YES to either of these questions, then consider joining the Northern Rivers team as a School-located Clinician! Help us provide crucial mental health services to the youth in our communities!
As a School-located Clinician, you are responsible for the coordination and delivery of clinical services in a school setting within the Ravena School District.
Close to Albany and all the recreation that the Adirondacks has to offer, this is an excellent opportunity for either an practiced Clinician or a recently graduated MSW/MHC with an interest in providing clinical mental health services to youths in the school system to succeed.
What a School-located Clinician with Northern Rivers can expect:
   » Provide clinical services to individual youth and their families in a school setting located on referrals from school district staff.
   » Work in collaboration with district personnel to provide clinical services to identified populations.
   » Participate in the integrated service planning process for all youths enrolled.
   » Provide training and information sessions for parents and other family stakeholders on mental health consciousness and risk factors, and assist families as needed in accessing health assessments and recommendations for psychotropic medication.
   » Make recommendations for initiatives around school-located mental health and avoidance strategies
   » Assists with crisis intervention/avoidance services.
   » Provides consultation and training to school staff on mental health consciousness and risk factors.
   » Ensure all service plans are strengths-located, individualized, and comprehensive according to the client's needs.
   » Monitor the effectiveness of integrated service plans and review.
   » Ensure all services are coordinated with other service providers.
   » Develop strong working relationships with wrap-around supports in the school and in the community as needed.

Your Education and Qualifications required
   » Master's degree, MSW or equivalent.
   » Must be licensed prior to starting or have an active limited permit. LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R preferred.
   » Required to pass licensing exam within six months of employment if working with a limited permit.
   » practice, training, or education commensurate with working with children with serious and persistent emotional disturbance is desired but not necessary.
   » practice working in a school environment is also desired.
   » A driver's license is required.
