Consumer Loan Processorlisting title: Consumer Loan ProcessorJob location: Poughkeepsie, NY Pay Rate: $21 - $24 per hour Schedule: 40-hour work week (Monday - Friday, between 8 AM - 6:30 PM) Listing description We are pursuing a Consumer Loan Processor to join our team in Poughkeepsie, NY. In this function, you will process and fund direct and indirect consumer loan applications while ensuring excellent service to our members. You’ll also help identify ways to improve department efficiency and the overall member practice. Consumer Loan Processor Responsibilities: » Review loan applications for accuracy and prepare them for funding » Input and verify data to ensure loans are funded according to policies » Disburse loan proceeds and maintain loan system records » Issue necessary documents to comply with Truth in Lending and RESPA regulations » Respond to inquiries from dealers, staff, and members regarding loan status » Follow up on outstanding loan documents to ensure timely processing » Suggest process improvements to enhance member practice » Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including participation in required training Consumer Loan Processor Qualifications required » High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required) » Previous customer service practice in a credit union or financial institution (preferred) » practice in consumer loan processing (preferred) » Strong interpersonal expertise and a positive attitude when interacting with the public » capability to read and interpret documents, procedures, and policies » Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling various customer and vendor situations » Problem-solving initiative, with a focus on improving internal processes using Lean concepts » Effective communication expertise, both verbal and written » Basic math expertise with attention to accuracy » Proactive in identifying and resolving issues to enhance member service If you're detail-oriented, customer-focused, and have practice in loan processing, we encourage you to apply!
