Professional Development Specialist - Model Schools- 1960- 22/23Anticipated Vacancy:Professional Development Specialist – Model Schools (1.0 FTE) LOCATION(S): Educational Resources- CTI tasks: Provide modeling for and/or mentoring of teachers in curriculum planning and delivery that engages students in inquiry and critical thinking expertise the use of technology resources (hardware, software, wireless, media, internet, video conferencing, etc.) through research, test and recommend software and new technology applications for use in component districts, support the development and implementation of student enrichment STEAM activities (i.e. eSports, etc), provide support to Directors of Technology in the development and review of the Technology Plans, support all aspects of the NYSED ESSA plan as a member of the Educational Resources Division- this includes an expectation that this individual will work with other Professional Development Specialists to design, implement and evaluate a variety of professional learning opportunities. Topics may include content standards, instructional practice, leadership abilities, etc. Qualifications required Holds a current NYS Teaching Certificate, SAS/SDA/SBL/SDL certification preferred, 3+ years of teaching practice START DATE: ASAP GRADE LEVEL: N/A .
