Job Summary
The adjunct Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Transactions will work with the Vice President in identifying and cultivating corporate relationships, which includes a creating a strategy around priority sectors/industries, identifying appropriate senior level contacts, and initiating discussions. The individual will assume primary responsibility for a subset of the corporate partners which entails learning about the prospective corporate partner's interests and needs; and collaborating with RPI stakeholders to align those interests. These stakeholders include, for example, faculty, Research Institutes, the Office of Research, Rensselaer@Work, Student Life, and the five schools. This also includes working with Rensselaer research faculty to tailor communications and presentations to specific companies and industry consortia to enhance the value of Rensselaer research and researchers. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for drafting and reviewing corporate partnership agreements leading to sponsored research funding and/or broad campus-wide engagements.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree required
• practice working with academic institutions and industry preferred
• Ten years of responsible management and executive positions
• broad expertise and practice with public and private sector research sponsor institutions

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $150,000 - 200,000
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
