Job Summary The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenured faculty position at the Associate Professor level in Analytics/Information Systems starting Fall 2023. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Research, or a closely related field. The prosperous candidate must have demonstrated evidence for excellence in research and high-quality business journal publications. expertise in program development and other leadership abilities functions would be a plus. The candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in graduate and undergraduate degree programs in information systems and business analytics, as well as provide service to the School of Management and to Rensselaer. capability to teach in diverse topics related to Analytics and IS, including invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship is desired. The position requires excellence in research as demonstrated by top-tier publications, effective written communication expertise, and strong technical expertise. Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and social media analytics would be a plus. The prosperous candidate will have the opportunity to engage with and develop research initiatives aligned both within the Lally School and with the new strategic research initiatives at Rensselaer. The Lally school offers undergraduate, masters, MBA and Ph.D. programs in several analytics related disciplines and the school is expecting to grow significantly in deep analytics offerings in marketing, supply chain and operations, quantitative finance, and information systems, to name a few.
