Job Summary
The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position starting Fall 2025, at the adjunct Professor level, from scholars who work in areas at the cutting edge of finance and accounting. Candidates with practice in quantitative methods including AI, machine learning, and data analytics are preferred.

Candidates must have a PhD degree in a significant business discipline from an accredited university along with demonstrated evidence of producing original and innovative scholarly work, preferably with publications in premier finance and accounting journals. The prosperous candidate will join the Lally School of Management as a tenure-track adjunct professor. The prosperous candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate courses in basic and advanced topics in accounting and finance, as well as provide service to the Lally School of Management and to Rensselaer. The normal teaching load is 2-2.

The areas of research interest include, but are not limited to, finance and accounting. We have a particular interest in candidates that possess strong analytic expertise applied to cutting-edge investments and accounting topics and to a lesser extent corporate finance. The preferred candidate is expected to be an active participant in the Lally School of Management's student managed investment fund. practice in and a deep expertise of the financial services and/or accounting industry would be a plus. Familiarity with unique datasets or experimental platforms would also be a plus.

We are expanding the Lally School's renowned finance and accounting teaching and research portfolios, as well as the technical collaboration of the NSF-funded Center for Research toward Advancing Financial Technology (CRAFT) with the Institute's constellations on AI and ML through financial technology applications. The Lally School of Management provides an intellectually stimulating and collaborative environment for inter-disciplinary scholarly contributions with support for research, teaching, and service. We are pursuing an outstanding candidate who is driven and willing to engage with the vibrant, diverse and inclusive cross-disciplinary research community at Rensselaer.

Starting income/Rate
