Job Summary
The adjunct Athletic Director for Communications assists with the day-to-day operations of the athletic department as well as program/coach evaluation & supervision. The adjunct Athletic Director supervises Athletics communication and provides development and management of the web page and publications for varsity sports, including writing, editing, and design, statistical compilation & execution, publicity, public & media relations, budget and press box management. The adjunct Athletic Director also serves as host to league and national championships, including NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournaments.

Minimum Qualifications
   » Bachelor's Degree in Communications or similar discipline
   » 2-3 years of practice in athletic administration.
   » significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
   » practice in sport oversight 

Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities
   » expertise of NCAA, ECAC, and Liberty League rules.
   » Strong writing expertise, computer practice, expertise of web site maintenance, demonstrated abilities with in-game sport information and statistical software.

   » Requires demonstrated oral and written communication expertise.

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $58,500-$80,000.

Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
