Group Fitness Instructor Pay Status and Classification: Non Exempt, temporary part-time Work Job location: this job offer is an onsite function and is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule. manager: Director of Wellness/adjunct Director Intramurals & Recreation Key Responsibilities: » Conduct high-energy and inclusive group fitness classes following established formats (Zumba, barre, Pilates, spinning, HIIT, yoga, etc.). » Create and deliver safe and effective workouts that cater to participants of various fitness levels and abilities. » Provide clear and concise instructions, modifications, and demonstrations to ensure proper exercise techniques and prevent injuries. » Motivate and inspire participants, fostering a positive and supportive exercise environment. » Monitor class participants, offering guidance, feedback, and encouragement all over the session. » Maintain a clean and organized fitness studio, ensuring equipment is properly set up and stored after each class. » Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new exercises, and training techniques to enhance class offerings. » Collaborate with other fitness instructors and staff to develop and implement innovative fitness programs. Qualifications required » Nationally recognized group fitness certification (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.) or equivalent qualifications. » practice and skills in teaching a variety of group fitness classes, such as Zumba, barre, Pilates, spinning, HIIT, yoga, etc. » Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to connect and communicate effectively with participants. » Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyle. » Reliable and punctual, able to commit to a minimum of 2-3 classes per week over an 8-week period. » Flexibility to cover substitute classes when needed. » capability to adapt workouts and provide modifications for participants with varying fitness levels and physical conditions. » CPR and First Aid certification (current or willing to obtain). Compensation: The hourly range for this job offer will be between $25-$30 per class. Except for functions with a set rate of pay, the wage/income of the finalist selected for this function will beset located on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, practice, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
