Manager, Revenues and AR

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Manager, Revenues and AR, you will manage the billing, reporting, cash collections and recognition of revenue and accounts receivable financial activities. You will work onsite and report to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
   » Maintain accurate and complete monthly billing to Insurance companies (including Medicare and Medicaid), clients, customers, funding sources, and grantors for all programs of Northern Rivers and Affiliated Agencies, excluding outsourced Behavioral Health and Mobile Crisis Billing.
   » Directly supervise exempt and non-exempt employees. Supervise and evaluate the work of individuals; have responsibility for subordinate performance and output. Provide supportive success-focused supervision to direct reports.
   » Train, cross-train, supervise, coach, and complete disciplinary actions for department staff
   » Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate procedure manuals for each monthly billing to customers, funding sources, and grantors for all programs of Northern Rivers and Affiliated Agencies, excluding outsourced Behavioral Health and Mobile Crisis Billing
   » Generate and supervise generation of bills to customers, funding sources, and grantors following contract and grant agreements and prescribed federal and state regulations
   » Assign, review, or prepare monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable, Accrued Revenue, and connected accounts, including preparation of monthly journal entries
   » Monitor aged accounts receivable and cash collection of outstanding account balances monthly including assignment of research and follow up with staff by function and define a mechanism to assess effectiveness of those efforts
   » In collaboration with the Controller and the budget department, review balances in deferred revenue and unearned earnings accounts requiring periodic adjustment to and clearing out of such balances, and the periodic review and write off of outstanding accounts deemed uncollectible
   » Maintain current expertise on federal, state, and local government funding and billing regulations, and stays up to date with changes to funding mechanisms.
   » Provide exceptional customer service to all organizational customers, internal and external
Requirements and suitable education
   » Five to seven years of related practice required.
   » High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
