DieticianPOSITION OVERVIEWPosition Summarythis job offer is responsible for consultation and review of the provision of food and-nutritional services provided to the individuals served in conformity with the standards set for New York State (NYS) Departments of Mental Hygiene, Office of Children and Family Services, Office of Mental Health, and the United States Department of Agriculture. Essential tasks and Responsibilities » Review menus » Develop, review, and/or provide input into policies and procedures that relate to the agency's food and nutrition program » Develop, review, and/or provide input into sanitation and safety guidelines to prevent the contamination of food or injury to a person » Submit monthly written reports regarding the implementation and evaluation of dietetic services » Complete 11 day initial assessments per OMH regulations » Develop special diets agency wide, e.g.: gluten free, diabetic, etc. » Conduct periodic review of special diets and regular menus Education and practice » Bachelors degree from an accredited school of nutrition » Two years of related practice » Eligible for registration with the Commission for Dietetics Certification/Licensure » Required to have or be eligible to obtain certification in New York State for Dietetics and Nutrition ABOUT NORTHERN RIVERSSkills:
