Sr. Behavior SpecialistJOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Senior Behavioral Specialist, you will provide behavioral intervention and consultation in the middle school setting. You will join an agency clinician at the school while also being an integral part of the school community supporting students from an individualized and strength-located perspective.You will report to the Senior Director of Behavioral Health and will work onsite in this year round position.Responsibilities: » Lead efforts in creating, teaching and monitoring behavioral intervention plans in the school. » Support students through activities such as check-in and check-out, everyday social expertise lunch groups and the weekly food backpack program. » Assist in student mediation, crisis intervention and consultation to the school, students and families. » Participate in PBIS committee meetings and student support team meetings. » Utilize regular supervision, staff meetings and agency trainings for expertise and support. » capability to travel required. Requirements and suitable education » A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and practice. » At least seven to ten years of practice preferred. » practice with behavioral planning with children 5 to 19 years old. » practice with classroom observations and written reports preferred. » practice with Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS or equivalent) preferred. » capability to hold expertise groups. » Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
