Listing description The College's newly awarded Title V Hispanic Serving Institution grant is hiring several Pathway Coach positions at both the Middletown and Newburgh campuses to support the diverse needs of our student population. With the support of PROSPERAR initiatives, Pathway Coaches will monitor student progress, troubleshoot academic, financial and socio-emotional challenges and ensure students receive the support they need when they most need them. Each Pathway Coach will represent a different career community, supporting the academic and career path of those students specific to their field. If you are a passionate and motivated individual, eager to engage with students and support their journey to college graduation and career development, we encourage you to consider joining the Title V, PROSPERAR team. tasks and Responsibilities: » Maintain frequent and regular contact with students, both online and in-person, to monitor progress and to troubleshoot academic, financial, and socio-emotional issues. » Conduct goal-oriented advisement sessions with students covering personal, academic goals and career goals. » Collaborate with college personnel to ensure students are engaging and gaining career and college consciousness and exposures related to their personal, academic and career goals. » Connect students to resources and encourage student involvement in campus activities. » Assist students with navigating institutional departments, protocols, procedures all over the duration of the student's enrollment 6. Assist students development expertise in time management, long-term planning, study expertise, and self-advocacy to support their retention and completion. » Monitor student success through online student engagement platforms, early alert communication tools and various college software and technology. » All other related tasks as assigned. Working Conditions: Typical office environment, the majority of work is performed while sitting at a desk or workstation using a computer display and keyboard, using the telephone frequently, infrequently lifting or carrying objects up to 10 lbs, and infrequently traveling between buildings on campus.
