adjunct WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACHWork Days: Varies located on the business needShift Start/End Time: Varies including weekends Hours Per Week: 19 Weeks Per Year: 50 adjunct Women's Basketball Coach Pay Status and Classification: Temporary, part-time manager: Head Women's Basketball Coach Position Purpose: Assists in the organization, development, and leadership abilities of a highly competitive Division III women's basketball program in support of the mission and core values of Union College. this job offer is expected to be a one year appointment with the possibility of renewal. Essential Responsibilities and tasks: »Coaching and leadership abilities: Assists with recruiting and retaining high achieving student-athletes. Mentors student athletes. Works to enhance the student-athlete practice through training, competition, and leadership abilities development. »Program Oversight and Administration: Adheres to NCAA rules and compliance. »Team Development and Innovation: Contributes ideas, input, and support to the Union Athletics Department. Seeks out, applies, and shares expertise of sport trends and innovations in playing and teaching. »Collaboration: Partners with campus stakeholders, such as Admissions to coordinate and organize campus visits for recruits, College Relations to assist in coordinating fundraising and alumnae outreach. Builds strong relationships with alumnae, fans, campus partners and the broader community. Connects student-athletes with academic and professional resources. Qualifications required » Bachelor's degree and/or a combination of significant education, training, certifications, and/or work practice. » Previous collegiate coaching or playing practice preferred. » Possesses solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities expertise. » capability to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Union College. » Demonstrated expertise of NCAA rules and regulations. » capability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends is required. » capability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 30 lbs.) and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time. » A valid New York State driver's license is required. » Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication expertise. » Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni and fellow professionals. » Candidate must be able to prosperously communicate and work with a diverse group of individuals. The rate for this job offer is $20.00/hour.
