Job Summary
The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting Fall 2023, at the Tenure-track adjunct Professor level, from scholars who work in areas of key technological developments and challenges of the 21st century from an ethical perspective.

The prosperous candidate will have a PhD degree from an accredited university in a related area of study, such as analytics, management, ethics and philosophy, along with promise for sustained high quality research publications in premier business outlets. Candidates must provide evidence of effective teaching, and the capability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement in their area of skills. skills in basic and advanced topics in business ethics and data analytics
A.B.D. candidates without completion of a doctoral degree by August 1, 2023 will be considered only for appointment at the lecturer rank and must have completed the Ph.D. for continuation beyond the first year.

Prospective candidates will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in basic and advanced topics in business ethics and data analytics.

The areas of research interest include, but not limited to, the impact of emerging technologies on employment; surveillance and the value of privacy; biases in data analytics pertaining to predictive algorithms in a wide variety of applications, such as healthcare, financial services, AI-located autonomous vehicles and weapons systems, the criminal justice system, and ethical considerations in AI use in organizations.

We are expanding Lally School's reputation in business analytics and management disciplines to address the challenging issues in an increasingly digital economy driven by automated decision platforms. The prosperous candidate will have the opportunity to engage with the vibrant cross-disciplinary research programs across the Institute, namely the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, as well as the newly-formed Center for Data, AI, and Computing.
