Job Summary Job Announcement: Director of Undergraduate Programs (12 month position) The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks a full time non-tenured faculty member to serve as Director of Undergraduate Programs. The prosperous candidate will be a Sr. Lecturer or a Professor of Practice, and will assume a leadership abilities function, under the guidance of the Lally School Dean, as an undergraduate student advisor and as a manager of undergraduate business programs to advance the interests of the Lally School and its students. The candidate is expected to foster excellence and grow the undergraduate program consistent with the School's mission. In addition, the candidate will teach courses within their field of skills. Minimally, candidates must have a terminal degree in a business-related field, with a Ph.D. preferred. All candidates must demonstrate the capacity to be an effective teacher and be able to both provide both vision and day-to-day supervision to a team of direct and indirect reports. Candidates will be recognized as industry experts through activities in professional organizations such as speaking, publications, panel participation or similar recognition. Those at the Professor of Practice level will demonstrate sustained substantial leadership abilities practice of at least 10-15 years and generally possess a national or international reputation for excellence in their field of skills.
