Job Summary
The Client Support Analyst III provides support and maintenance of complex client technology, software and services for the Rensselaer community. The Client Support Analyst III works closely with other IT staff to provide training and helps to develop and mentor other analysts.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years in significant professional work practice or significant combination of education, training and professional work practice.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, expertise, and Abilities
   » Current and significant support knowledge of common client hardware, software, applications and services commonly in use within higher-ed setting such as computers, phones, Windows and Macintosh operating systems, office suite, design and development, data analysis, and audio-video software, desktop support, consultation, printing, file, license management, asset management and software deployment services.
   » Significant knowledge of common business processes and functions and client needs within organizations.
   » capability to quickly understand unique business processes and functions and identify opportunities for utilizing IT to make improvements.
   » High-level capability to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues.
   » capability to develop and deliver training to individuals at all levels.
   » capability to work effectively under pressure to meet goals and deadlines.
   » capability to communicate and cooperate effectively with colleagues and users in a diverse environment.
   » capability to work both independently and as a team member.
