The Employment & Training Administration is currently seeking (2) full-time Case Managers to join their team.
The Case Manager will plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of individuals enrolled in Welfare to Work programs. The essential nature of the work is to assign program participants to employment activities to meet federal participation work requirements as well as help them reach economic independence. The Case Manager will handle the maintenance of participant records, data entry and case note activities that will be entered and managed in a state computer system. Organization and computer practice are essential to this function. Additionally, this job offer will be responsible for motivating clients to fulfill the terms of their work requirements and to develop and reinforce solid work ethics to achieve realistic occupational goals. The Case Manager will need to utilize counseling expertise, with a supportive and holistic approach, to motivate clients and to identify and overcome barriers to achieve compliance with the Employment & Training Administration program demands. this function also will also mentor job seekers during every step of the process in securing employment. This includes but is not limited to; organizing and facilitating job readiness and training workshops, formulating career plans, accompanying job seekers on everyday van runs to visit employers or potential work sites.
Travel may be required between the Career Centers and other sites as needed.

General Requirements:

Education & practice Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR an Associate's Degree and one (1) year practice working in job training, placement or human services program; OR Three years of equivalent work practice.
Preferred expertise, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
   » Bachelor's degree.
   » Good expertise of welfare and workforce development programs, policies and procedures.
   » Good expertise of the cultural, environmental and personal factors influencing the lives of persons who are economically underprivileged, low income, unemployed or otherwise facing barriers to employment.
   » capability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
   » capability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers, all college/career center employees and the public.
   » capability to manage multiple projects.
   » Bilingual expertise.

income: $45,000 per annum, commensurate with practice and continued availcapability of grant funding.
