Project Manager

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Project Manager. Primary Function: responsible to lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, collaborate with key stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, deliverables, and success metrics.
Responsibilities
   » Assess project characteristics to determine the appropriate mix of Agile practices for iterative and collaborative project components and Waterfall methodologies for structured and sequential project components.
   » Lead project teams in a matrixed environment, fostering cooperation and collaboration while maintaining a focus on project objectives and results. Provide guidance and direction to project team members all over the project lifecycle and report necessary performance feedback to their functional manager.
   » Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project charters, plans, schedules, budgets, change requests, artifacts, and lessons learned.
   » Monitor project progress and tracks milestones, ensuring adherence to project methodology, timelines and budgets. Ensure that project stay within their initial scope and works with stakeholders to expand the scope, if necessary.
   » Identify and track risks, issues, and decisions all over the project lifecycle and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
   » Create and maintain an environment of transparency, collaboration, and sharing. Proactively address project issues and obstacles, and facilitates decision-making and conflict resolution among stakeholders for a prosperous outcome.
   » Communicate project updates, progress, resource utilization, and potential risks in a timely and transparent manner.
   » Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting lessons learned and applying them to future projects.
   » Facilitate project retrospectives to reflect on project performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
   » Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
   » Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Support the Credit Union’s initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.
   » Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.

Qualifications
   » Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent practice for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of practice In business, mathematics, analytical or technical discipline required
   » Agile or Professional project management certification/designation preferred
   » Quality or LEAN Six Sigma practice preferred 
   » Minimum 3 Years of project management leading or co-leading teams, with strong track record of managing projects using Agile and Waterfall methologies practice required
