Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing continuing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment, and inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards are met. Essential tasks: » Performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. » Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; repairs or replaces broken parts. » Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures » Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment. » Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required. » May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed » Documents and reports all maintenance repairs » Repairs any potential safety hazards to avoid injuries » Adheres to all Safety and Quality regulations. General Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ practice in a related field. expertise of: Methods used in maintenance including basic expertise of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, glass replacement, painting, masonry, grounds keeping, appliance repair, and electrical wiring; standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities; safety practices and procedures related to the building trades; Attention to detail: Skills:
