Facilities Maintenance manager

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Facilities Maintenance. Primary Function: supervise and manage the comprehensive maintenance, physical operations, security, and facilities management of organizational properties. this function blends hands-on maintenance tasks with managery responsibilities and strategic management of facilities projects. Ensures optimal functionality, safety, and security of all facilities including after-hour (24 Hours per day/7 days per week) calls for physical operations & security department.
Responsibilities
   »
Perform and supervise routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of organizational properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, furniture, and landscaping.
   »
Respond rapidly to emergencies (e.g., power outages, equipment failures, and structural issues) on a 24/7 basis, providing necessary resources and support.
   »
Conduct regular property inspections and create detailed reports with recommendations for improvements.
   »
Manage everyday operations of facilities and security, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, ADA, ATM safety).
   »
Develop, implement, and enforce departmental policies and procedures.
   »
Organize and conduct fire and emergency drills, ensuring staff readiness and compliance.
   »
supervise physical safety and security systems, including access control, alarm systems, and video surveillance.
   »
Assist in the planning and execution of complex projects, including new construction, building renovations, and relocations, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
   »
Serve as a liaison with local government authorities and attend municipal planning board meetings as required.
   »
Manage vendor and tenant relationships, including contract negotiations, quality control, and budget adherence.
   »
Recommend and manage departmental expenditures, participating in the annual budget process.
   »
Supervise, hire, and develop facilities staff, setting performance goals, providing continuing coaching, and training.
   »
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, process improvements, and employee development plans.
   »
Initiate and supervise purchase orders and service calls for maintenance tools, equipment, and services.
   »
Maintain tenant and property management records, covering property maintenance needs.
   »
Collaborate with organizational teams on strategic initiatives, projects, and special assignments.
   »
Carry a cell phone during work hours and remain accessible off-hours for emergencies.
   »
Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
   » Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities or Business Management is preferred. 
   » Valid driver’s license is required.
   » Minimum 3 Years managerial practice is required. 
   » Minimum 3 Years Facilities Operations practice is required. 
   » HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and/or Site Work practice is preferred.
